Who can apply?
Funds only for eligible WorkFirst & TANF students.
- These funds were made available through a gracious donation from our community partner – Soroptimist
- May receive up to $250 once per academic school year.
- If your request exceeds this amount, we will coordinate with the Highline Support Center – Benefits Hub program to review your application.
- To help cover the costs of a non-academic emergency cost that may cause you to withdrawal from classes.
- Note: Members of the Soroptimist organization may reach out to you to request a brief reflection about your story and how this scholarship supported your academic journey at Highline. Your participation is completely voluntary, and your story helps them continue supporting students in need.

Any student currently enrolled at Highline College!
- May receive up to maximum of $250 per academic year.
- If you received a Financial Aid refund or book voucher from (DSHS, Workforce, WorkFirst, Veterans Affairs, employer, etc), you may not qualify.
Emergency Childcare Funds

Who can apply?
Any student currently enrolled at Highline College!
- May receive up to maximum of $1,000 per academic year.
- Must provide bill/invoice from licensed daycare provider showing cost and proof of your child’s enrollment.
- Funds can be used for daycare services, late fees, and/or products the daycare had to provide.
